Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a med-surg bed and a standard hospital bed?
Med-surg beds are built for hospitals and busy care settings. They hold more weight, adjust to more positions, and meet stricter safety standards than a home or long-term-care bed.
Do these beds come with a mattress?
Some do and some do not. Each product page says what is included. Where a mattress is not included, you can add a compatible one from our pressure redistribution range.
How much weight can a med-surg hospital bed hold?
Most med-surg beds hold up to 500 lbs. Bariatric models hold more. The safe working load is listed on each product page.
Can I use insurance or Medicare to pay for a hospital bed?
That depends on your plan and a doctor's order. I can give you the product details and an itemised invoice for your claim, but your insurer decides on approval.
How long does delivery take?
Most beds ship within a few business days. Larger or made-to-order beds take longer. The estimate is shown on the product page and confirmed in your order email.
