About Diestco
Raised in a lively family in San Francisco, I moved to Chico in 1982 to study computer science, but ended up graduating with a BA in business and a minor in sculpture. In 1991, while managing Oldies 101, I noticed a need for protective canopies for power chairs and scooters, inspiring the creation of the WeatherBreaker canopy. Despite challenges, I obtained a patent and started DIESTCO MFG in 1992.
Facing early financial struggles, we expanded our product line by 2000, moved locations, and remained committed to American manufacturing. In 2008, despite the financial crash, I acquired our current location. Today, DIESTCO MFG is a leading manufacturer, staying true to our mission of providing independence and enhancing outdoor experiences. Since 2000, we've sold over $25 million in products, supporting local businesses and fostering a thriving workplace in Chico, CA.
